Role Overview
As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy, and providing insights to improve business strategies. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business Leaders to translate data into meaningful visualizations and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik).
- Design and optimize data models and ETL processes to support BI analytics.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reports and datasets.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to extract and transform data for analysis.
- Automate data reporting and business performance tracking.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support decision-making for business units.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and create customized insights.
- Monitor BI system performance and troubleshoot data discrepancies or reporting issues.
- Stay updated on BI trends, visualization techniques, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or Data Engineering.
â
Strong expertise in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik).
â
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and query optimization.
â
Experience working with data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
â
Knowledge of data visualization best practices and report design.
â
Familiarity with Python or R for advanced data analytics (preferred).
â
Strong understanding of data governance, data integrity, and compliance.
â
Ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
â
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
â Experience with cloud-based BI solutions (BigQuery, AWS QuickSight, Azure Synapse).
â Hands-on experience with machine learning models for business analytics.
â Understanding of predictive analytics, forecasting, and data mining.
â Knowledge of DAX (Power BI) or MDX (OLAP cubes).
â Familiarity with AI-driven BI automation tools.
