The Business Intelligence Analyst will gather requirements, design data models, create dashboards in Power BI, and support stakeholders with data analysis.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business data requirements.
- Design, document, and validate data models and business logic within Data Warehouses.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI.
- Translate business questions into technical queries using DAX and SQL.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure high data quality.
- Develop KPIs, metrics, and performance indicators aligned with business goals.
- Automate reporting and analysis processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct user training and provide ongoing support for Power BI users.
- Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure optimal data structure and ETL performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data refresh issues and data integrity concerns in Power BI Service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis or BI roles, with a focus on Data Warehousing and Power BI.
- Proficient in Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service, and Dataflows).
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
- Hands-on experience working with cloud-based and on-prem data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, SQL Server or similar).
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (SSIS, ADF, or similar).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
