The Team
The Procurement COE sits within Procurement's Enterprise Services & Enablement team and partners closely across all areas of Procurement to define and continuously improve our processes and practices. The COE's mission is to drive procurement excellence and consistency across all of Procurement. The team is focused on initiative management; namely, the initiatives that will improve the processes, technology and analytical capabilities of Procurement as a whole. We are seeking a Business Improvement Consultant to drive the effectiveness of existing business processes, and to consult and lead improvement practices to meet and exceed shared goals.
The Impact
The Business Improvement Specialist reports to the Director of the COE and partners closely with the procurement teams and leaders to enable efficiency and effectiveness through the analysis, planning, execution of process improvements. This role will help teams and leadership with problem solving and enhancement execution. Through a culture of collaboration and teamwork this role will lead develop content and knowledge-based documentation across Procurement processes, and where needed assist with job aids and coaching on procedures. This role will consult with project teams, project sponsors and procurement leadership to determine job performance needs and implement solutions to maximize employee learning, knowledge, and results. This role will work closely with communications in the development of compelling stories to illustrate the need for change and implementation of enhancements.

Responsibilities
Training and Learning Management:
- Work with subject matter experts to identify learning, knowledge, and desired results in order to design and implement learning content and train employees to maximize desired results
- Evaluate follow-up and ongoing learning needs as it applies to processes and job expectations
Continuous Improvement:
- Act as a faciliatory leader and coach for continuous improvement projects tied to Procurements strategic objectives and KPIs
- Champion a continuous improvement management mindset and translate efficiencies into operating norms and best practices
- Manage multiple concurrent continuous improvement projects and adapt to changing priorities
- Help teams and leadership recognize and identify opportunities for improved performance, predictability, maturity and continuous improvement
Operational Efficiencies:
- Support Teams to remove impediments at the team level and create enhanced workflows and processes
- Analyze data and processes and identify improvement opportunities
Support and Knowledge Management Tools and Technology:
- Partner with the Data Innovation team to help support the creation, review, and update of KPI scorecards and targets
- Assist leaders and SMEs in the development of content and knowledge sharing through job aids, documentation and training opportunities
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement, process improvement, training, business analysis, or management consulting
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support the needs of the organization
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in continuous improvement, process improvement, learning management, business analysis, or management consulting, preferably with or for procurement
- Previous experience in a mutual company or similar financial services / insurance industry
- Demonstrated expertise in continuous improvement or other process improvement frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process inefficiencies and develop data-driven solutions
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal including excellent presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experiences with content and knowledge sharing and/or training experience
- Experience creating and evaluating training solutions and learning management tools
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional groups
- Highly motivated to make impactful improvement for the team and business partners
