Job Description

Business Excellence Lead (Nashville, TN or Cambridge, MA)

This hybrid role involves deploying and integrating new key capabilities from business transformation programs based on Region, Business Group (BG), or Function requirements. Manage continuous improvement (CI) tools and methodologies, conduct Training-the-Trainer workshops, and assess organization maturity. Build and manage a pipeline of high-performing Business Excellence function/market/BG people and coach the BG, Market, or Function Leadership Team's top priority business targets.

Your role:

  • Support North America (NA) Region in resolving issues, using the known lean and 6S tools and the CI methodology, Kaizen events, and 6S projects to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory within your assigned geography or business perimeter. Verify Kaizen events and 6S projects are well-planned, carried out, and sustained as well as defines methodology and implements the LEAN improvement initiatives.

  • From a leader's perspective, evaluate important business metrics and situations. Work with the Leadership Team (LT) and middle managers to assist them in discovering areas where lean, 6S, and CI tools may be used to enhance those metrics and situations. Create a roadmap for lean improvement based on the strategic priorities and then apply it in your area of responsibility. Check that Kaizen events are appropriately planned, carried out, and sustained for Six Sigma projects, while engaging with the MT in assessing key business metrics.

  • Identify the Kaizens necessary to achieve the vision while taking the lead (when needed) to discover alignment in the matrix organization by engaging with stakeholders, recommending changes, and addressing conflicts appropriately. Seeks alignment with the key leaders when determining the policies and processes for brand-new and unique assignments. Additionally, supervises activities exceeding $100M.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 8+ years of experience working in continuous improvement, change management, organizational design, and/or transformation programs and P&L management with a proven track record in coaching and managing high-performance and management teams through transformations.  

  • Your skills include the demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams; plan, execute, and sustain Kaizen events with world-class results, and lead large-scale transformation programs. Additional experience in roles related to business strategy, business transformation, program/project management, human resources (HR), or communication-related fields. Experience in multi-industry, function, and location LEAN deployments preferred

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree (required); a Master’s degree, Sales Operations, and/or Healthtech background (preferred)

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

  • You’re an excellent communicator with a strong ability to influence and work with stakeholders at all levels paired with strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Be a collaborative leader and team player who can work across the business to problem-solve and find solutions, while leading various projects and setting priorities to achieve outcomes and business impact. Must have the gravitas and earned authority to deal with and manage senior stakeholders to challenge the status quo.

How we work together 

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details  

The pay range for this position in Nashville, TN is $151,500 to $242,400. 

The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $169,680 to $271,488. 

  

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Nashville, TN or Cambridge, MA
