At Intact Software, we're transforming how Lumber and Building Materials (LBM) dealers operate with GenetiQ ERP, a next-generation, cloud-based ERP platform purpose-built for the LBM industry. We are rapidly expanding our presence in the North American market and are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive early-stage sales engagement and be an important contributor in our ambitious growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting:
- Conduct cold and warm outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to LBM industry targets in the USA
- Qualify inbound leads and identify prospects that meet our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
- Schedule introductory discovery calls or product demonstrations for the sales team.
- Campaign Management:
- Execute email campaigns using CRM and marketing automation tools.
- Personalize messaging based on role, company size, and buyer persona.
- Track and measure campaign performance to optimize engagement.
- Event Support & Promotion:
- Partner with marketing to promote attendance at webinars, trade shows, and industry events.
- Conduct outreach to targeted lists to secure booth visits and meeting appointments.
- Follow up with event attendees and warm leads to nurture interest post-event.
- Sales & Marketing Collaboration:
- Provide feedback to marketing on messaging effectiveness and prospect engagement trends.
- Maintain detailed activity notes and lead status in CRM (e.g., HubSpot).
- Align with the broader sales team to ensure seamless lead handoff and tracking.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or inside sales role—preferably in ERP, SaaS, or technology.
- Associates degree
- Proven success in outbound prospecting and campaign execution.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable making high-volume calls and handling objections professionally.
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email marketing tools, and CRM systems (preferably HubSpot).
- The confidence to turn conversations into opportunities
- A resilient spirit and can-do attitude that turns challenges into victories
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of or interest in the LBM industry is a plus.
