Job Summary
We’re seeking an ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our sales efforts and fuel growth across the aviation industry. The ideal candidate will be eager to engage new prospects, qualify leads, and build strong pipelines for our suite of aviation software products. You’ll work closely with Sales Executives, marketing, and product teams to connect aviation businesses with solutions like the Owner Portal, Optimizer, and Portside’s Scheduling Systems.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Identify and research potential customers in the aviation industry.
  • Initiate contact with decision-makers through cold calls, emails, social media, and networking.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine fit and handoff to Sales Executives.
  • Effectively pitch Portside’s key solutions.
  • Schedule product demos and meetings for Sales Executives.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and manage a healthy pipeline.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine outreach strategies and campaigns.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the aviation industry is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation, ideally in aviation.
  • SaaS experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior-level decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with aviation operations, fleet management, or scheduling is required.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is required.

This role may require up to 30% travel.
