We are looking for a Business Development Representative for the West Coast region. We will train the successful candidate(s) on developing outbound sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and leveraging technical tools for effective communication. You will be responsible for identifying potential conversion opportunities (with lots of help), navigating sales opportunities, and fostering long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a target-driven environment and has a passion for problem solving. BDR career paths can go into sales or marketing as much of the work will depend on your research skills and writing ability.

What You Will Do
  • Leverage MinIO’s intelligence systems to identify potential prospects and generate leads.
  • Develop strategies to convert existing MinIO’s vast ecosystem of open-source users into commercial customers.
  • Develop strategies to attract new enterprise customers to the MinIO value proposition.
  • Craft creative, personalized emails and email sequences to articulate the value of a commercial relationship with the goal of meetings and opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the sales and marketing team to enhance lead generation efforts.
  • Constantly assess the data on the work, continuously optimizing it.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closure, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize the full suite of technology tools (SFDC, Hubspot, Outreach) tools to track interactions, progress, and conversions.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Prefer 2 years of experience in the software industry, with a focus on data infrastructure or SaaS solutions.
  • Outstanding writing and phone communication skills, capable of engaging and persuading executives.
  • Highly creative approach to sales and problem-solving, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in email sequencing and platforms, with a strong understanding of digital communication tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Software, Data Analytics or a related field preferred.
