👋 About Remark

Remark is reshaping the e-commerce landscape by harnessing the power of AI and personalized support to solve a critical problem: low conversion rates plaguing online shopping. Our platform connects shoppers with a human or AI product expert to enhance customer interactions and turn browsing into buying. We partner with leading consumer brands such as Darn Tough, Stance, Pearl iZUMi, and Peak Design.

👫 About The Team

We're a ~20-person team with experience at companies like Amazon, Salesforce, Ramp, DocuSign, and Microsoft. We’ve raised over $10M from investors like Neo, Stripe, and angels such as Dave Habiger (CEO of JD Power, Chairman of Reddit). We’re soon moving to a beautiful new office in Boston. We work hard but also have fun together (at least one company retreat per year + frequent team dinners and outings).

🧑‍🔧 About The Role

We’re looking for a hungry, ambitious Business Development Representative to help build Remark’s sales pipeline and expand into new markets like culinary, fashion, and beauty. You’ll source, qualify, and engage prospects, closely partnering with our Account Executives and Head of Sales to set meetings and drive revenue. You’ll have ample opportunities to hone your sales skills and a clear path to an Account Executive promotion with strong performance. This is an in-person role in our Boston office.

🛠️ About You (Qualifications)

  • 1+ years of experience as a BDR, SDR, or equivalent in B2B SaaS
  • Persistent, organized, and able to keep track of outreach across multiple channels
  • Proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
  • Coachable and willing to learn from our AEs and Head of Sales
  • Willingness to travel to customer meetings and industry events (e.g., Shoptalk, Expo West)

🎈 Bonus Points For:

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Apollo, and Clay
  • Prior startup experience

⚕️ Benefits

$70k-$100k OTE ($60k-$70k base + commission)

  • Company equity
  • Full healthcare benefits (medical, dental, vision)
  • Flexible PTO (at least 15 days/year recommended)
  • At least one annual company retreat
  • $500 reimbursement for qualified fitness and recreation activities

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
