About the role:

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who is available to start immediately to join us as a Business Development Representative, and help bring uConnect’s virtual career center technology to more schools and students. 


Our ideal candidate is professionally ambitious, learns quickly and thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments. Individuals should combine an intense competitive spirit, strong curiosity and a growth mindset to achieve ambitious business objectives.

What are your responsibilities as a Business Development Representative?

  • Execute high volume of email and phone outreach to schedule sales calls with prospective customers for sales team 
  • Develop compelling messaging sequences and scripts for effective conversion of outreach to interest
  • Qualify inbound leads and generate new sales opportunities through calls, emails, direct sales, and referrals
  • Leverage Hubspot CRM and other tools to optimize outreach and engagement of prospective customers
  • Work closely and collaboratively with sales team to develop and implement appropriate prospect strategies and plans
  • Work internally with marketing and sales management to ensure proper quality and quantity of discovery calls
  • Creatively overcome challenges related to customer objections and conversion barriers

Who are you?

  • 2+ years of previous experience performing in a high-volume, outbound sales role
  • Demonstrated track record of high achievement and a strong desire to exceed measurable performance goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills via phone and email Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skillsStrong research skills and ability to interpret research into insightful recommendations
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Interest in the education market
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to structure and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection on a daily basis
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with peers who challenge you to grow and win
  • The technical aptitude to master our sales tools and naturally curiousYou will also have a proven ability to drive results, be resilient during challenging sales situations, have a customer-first mentality and a strong growth mindset.
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
  • Proficiency with Hubspot or other CRM software
