About Green Cabbage
Green Cabbage is the company behind Harvest, the Procurement Intelligence platform. We show the world's biggest companies how much they should pay their suppliers and how to negotiate improved pricing and terms, using real, executed and anonymised contract data.

Our results speak for themselves: 2,600+ clients, more than USD$850B in spend under management, an average return of 32.4x and outcomes that typically range from 50 - 100x.

The Role
As a Business Development Representative for EMEA, you are the tip of the spear. Your job is to start conversations with procurement, finance and IT leaders who own major supplier spend, and to book qualified meetings for our Account Executives to progress these leads.

You will work both sides of the funnel: responding to inbound interest with speed and intelligence, and running structured outbound against a scored, prioritised account list. You are not closing deals - you are opening doors and creating qualified leads, and we have built an engine to help you.

Enjoy the flexibility of a remote role while helping shape our EMEA growth journey. We're looking for a self-starter who thrives with autonomy, takes ownership of their work, and is excited by the opportunity to build and grow alongside the business.

What you'll do

Inbound:

  • Respond to inbound leads and demo requests quickly and with context, qualifying the conversation before it reaches an Account Executive;
  • Identify where an inbound contact sits in the buying journey and act accordingly -book the meeting, nurture for timing or disqualify cleanly; and
  • Treat every inbound signal as an opportunity to understand what brought someone to us and use that to open a detailed conversation.

Outbound:

  • Work through a focused list of scored, enriched in-market accounts
  • Trigger a dossier on each target and initiate a discussion knowing their buying signals, their spend across our spend cubes and why they should act now;
  • Use our scripting tool to open with the right on-persona message;
  • Make calls, handle the conversation and book qualified meetings for the sales team; and
  • Log every interaction so we sharpen the machine together and get coached to keep getting better.
  • Assist with pre-conference/event research and outreach activities and attend in-person events as required to meet with prospects.

Data & Process Discipline:

  • Follow established CRM processes for every lead, every time: logging interactions, completing fields, attributing accurate sources; and
  • Understand that clean data is not an administrative task; it is what makes the entire demand engine work and every rep owns their part in it.

Why this seat is different

  • You will have a prioritised, signal-driven view of which accounts are in an active buying window, across inbound and outbound. Every account comes with context on what is happening in their business, where the pain likely lives and a recommended angle of approach.
  • Before you outreach or respond, you will have a crisp value proposition tailored to the specific role and industry of the person you are talking to.
  • Your ramp is structured and supported. You will work alongside a player-coach, go through a proper bootcamp and have leadership that is genuinely invested in your development.
  • You will also be selling something that holds up. Green Cabbage delivers measurable, hard-dollar savings to businesses backed by real results that we can stand behind.
  • You'll join us at an exciting stage of growth, with the opportunity to influence our EMEA success story, build something meaningful and make a visible impact every day.

Growth and career path
Green Cabbage is in a global growth phase, and Reps who join now will have a clear growth path: first into a team-lead role, then towards an Account Executive role. The engine and the coaching are designed to ramp you fast, and we promote the people who master the plays and hit their target.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves

  • Hunger and resilience. You’re driven, enjoy talking to prospects and understanding their business and pain points, and have no fear of phone discussion no does not rattle you.
  • Inquisitive and Coachable. You want feedback and you act on it.
  • Conversational & Relationship-building skills. A clear natural communicator, a native or fluent English speaker.
  • A team player. This role isn’t about individual success; we’re building something together. We’re a close-knit team and we support each other.
  •  United Kingdom, and able to work 8.00am to 5.00pm (UK) daily.
  •  Location Preference: United Kingdom

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior BDR, SDR, inbound, or outbound experience
  • Exposure to procurement, B2B, SaaS, or complex-sale environments
  • Additional regional languages: German, French, Italian, Spanish

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
