Requirements

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivating BDR Manager to lead, coach, and grow our Business Development Representative (BDR) team, driving continued success at the top of the funnel for AgencyBloc. Reporting to the Director of Sales Enablement, this role is responsible for developing BDRs into high-performing pipeline generators, tracking and reporting on team performance, and partnering with Marketing/Demand Generation, Sales Enablement, and Sales Leadership to shape the goals, messaging, and outbound outreach strategy that drives AgencyBloc's sales pipeline. The ideal candidate has a proven history of coaching BDRs to exceed their meeting quotas and a demonstrated ability to build camaraderie and community across the team and the broader Sales & Marketing organization. This is an ideal role for a sales leader who is passionate about coaching talent, building repeatable processes, and using data to continuously improve outbound results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a top-tier team of BDRs — through call coaching, pipeline reviews, and skill development — establishing clear performance expectations and holding the team accountable to ambitious targets.
  • In partnership with Sales Enablement, hire, onboard, and train new BDRs, building ramp plans and playbooks that shorten time-to-productivity.
  • Track, analyze, and report on team and individual performance — SQLs, outbound activity, conversion rates, and pipeline (ARR) contribution — delivering regular insights to Sales Leadership and flagging risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing/Demand Generation and Sales Enablement to align lead flow, messaging, training content, call scripts, and onboarding curriculum that support outbound and inbound prospecting.
  • Work with Sales and GTM Leadership to set team goals, quotas, and KPIs, and to shape outbound strategy, territory/account assignment, and revenue-related processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Establish and continuously improve BDR processes, cadences, and playbooks across calls, email, LinkedIn, and other channels, implementing best practices to streamline workflows.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings, and champion AgencyBloc's values through hands-on, servant leadership that builds motivation, camaraderie, and culture.
  • Manage BDR-to-AE handoff quality and mentor high-potential BDRs for future promotion into Sales Representative and other advanced roles.
  • Stay current on SaaS sales methodologies, engagement tools, and industry trends, bringing new ideas to the outbound strategy.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sales Enablement.

Skills/Education/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a BDR/SDR in a SaaS or B2B environment, with at least 1+ years in a BDR/SDR team lead or management role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent business experience.
  • Proven track record of coaching reps to meet or exceed quota and developing talent for career growth and promotion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track, interpret, and report on team performance data, funnel metrics, and revenue trends.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and Sales Leadership.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, coachable, and results-oriented, with a collaborative leadership style.
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM, ERP, and SaaS product analytics tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CRM and sales engagement platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Nooks or Salesloft.
  • Familiarity with sales enablement practices, including onboarding curriculum design and call coaching frameworks.
  • Experience partnering with Marketing/Demand Generation on lead generation campaigns and lead scoring.
  • Knowledge of SaaS sales methodologies and outbound sales funnels.
  • Knowledge of the Health and Life Insurance industry is a plus.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Team and individual SQL/qualified meeting attainment against monthly targets.
  • Team outbound activity metrics (calls, emails, LinkedIn touches) and adherence to cadence.
  • Lead-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-pipeline conversion rates.
  • Pipeline (ARR) contribution from the BDR team.
  • BDR ramp time and quota attainment for new hires.
  • BDR retention and internal promotion/advancement rate.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus/commission structure.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Flexible, remote-first work environment
  • Generous PTO and flexible scheduling
  • Half-day summer Fridays
  • A collaborative, mission-driven culture that genuinely values work-life balance
