Your Role:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead outbound pipeline generation for our Broker API business. This is a player-coach role: you will directly prospect into target accounts while building and managing a global BDR function.

The BDM will craft and execute our outbound sales function, encompassing email, cold calling, in-person engagement, events, and strategic gifting. This role will be accountable for building a repeatable, high-quality outbound engine that drives a meaningful revenue pipeline.

Things You Get To Do:

Outbound Leadership:
Build and execute multi-channel outbound campaigns (calls, LinkedIn, events, emails, targeted ads).
Source high-value deals directly globally while coaching BDRs.
Deploy the outbound strategy for the Broke API business line.
Team Management:

Manage daily execution of BDRs; institute team rituals (standups, reviews, training).
Ramp, train, and coach BDRs on new playbooks, scripts, and strategies.
Review individual performance and set clear KPIs for meetings, opportunities, and pipeline creation.

Pipeline Generation:

Partner with AEs to ensure smooth lead handoff and pipeline conversion.
Build dashboards to track outbound performance, ROI, and payback.

Strategic Contribution:

Collaborate with Marketing to run logo-specific campaigns and leverage content engagement signals.
Develop the Outbound Playbook as a living process document (scripts, workflows, best practices).

Who You Are (Must-Haves):

  • 4+ years of sales experience with at least 1 year in a BDR Manager or Team Lead role.
Demonstrated success in building and managing outbound functions (player/coach model).
  • Strong track record of sourcing high-value, upmarket B2B deals.
  • Comfort with outbound beyond email: cold-calling, in-person events, gifting, ABM.
  • Data-driven approach: ability to analyze conversion rates, ROI, and pipeline attribution.
  • Experience in fintech, broker/dealer, API-first SaaS, or financial infrastructure preferred.

Who You Might Be (Nice-to-Haves):

  • Understanding of the brokerage and financial services industries.
  • FINRA Series 7.
How We Take Care of You:
  • Competitive Salary & Stock Options
  • Health Benefits
  • New Hire Home-Office Setup: One-time USD $500
  • Monthly Stipend: USD $150 per month via a Brex Card

Alpaca is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce.
