Business Development Manager (Global Digital Transformation)

Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth across New Era Technology’s entire portfolio within the Global Digital Transformation (GDT) business unit. The role combines the ability to cross-sell into existing accounts and generate new business through leveraging a strong network of contacts. The BDM plays a pivotal role in executing New Era’s GTM strategy, with a specific focus on cultivating relationships and uncovering opportunities through strategic partners such as Microsoft and SAP. Success in this role requires deep expertise in solution-based selling, a hunter mentality, and a proven ability to build strong client and partner relationships.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Account Management:
    • Identify opportunities to cross-sell solutions within existing accounts, ensuring alignment with client needs and business objectives.
    • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive long-term value and deepen client relationships.
    • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure satisfaction by addressing client issues proactively.
  • New Business Development:
    • Leverage an extensive professional network to identify, target, and secure new logos.
    • Actively prospect through cold calling, networking, social selling, and partner collaboration.
    • Lead discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and position New Era’s solutions effectively.

  • Strategic Partner Collaboration:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, especially Microsoft and SAP, to create and execute joint campaigns and identify co-sell opportunities.
    • Collaborate with partner teams to drive pipeline growth and maximize mutual value.
  • Sales Execution:
    • Present solutions to Director, VP, and C-level decision-makers with confidence and clarity.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals tailored to client needs while adhering to company standards.
    • Meet and exceed individual and team sales quotas and revenue targets.
    • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline, and activities in CRM (Dynamics & ConnectWise).
  • Market and Industry Expertise:
    • Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and advancements in digital transformation technologies.
    • Understand and articulate New Era’s value proposition across verticals and solutions, including collaboration, security, cloud, and managed services.

Competencies:

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in complex, solution-based sales environments.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with enterprise-level clients and partners, particularly at the executive level.
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation solutions, including cloud technologies, unified communications, security, and managed services.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • High proficiency with CRM tools (Dynamics & ConnectWise) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts and tasks.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to changing business priorities.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5+ years in B2B sales, with experience in enterprise technology solutions preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic account plans and achieving sales goals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and SAP ecosystems is a significant advantage.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
  • Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

Expected Hours of Work:
Standard business hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., with flexibility to accommodate client and business needs.

Travel Requirements:
Regular travel within the assigned territory is required, including occasional overnight trips and attendance at trade shows or partner events.


Compensation

Competitive compensation plan with a base salary range of $125,000 - $130,000 and a first year OTE range of $250,000 - $260,000

$125,000$130,000 USD
