Ethan Yuanming Hu serves as the founder and CEO. About the Role
Meshy is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to join the managed sales team. This is a growth-oriented hunter role, selling a fantastic new gen AI product to a rapidly expanding market on an uncapped commission plan. This is a quota carrying role.
Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Business Development Manager will be primarily responsible for bringing on new customers in gaming and adjacent industries, evangelizing Meshy at conferences and events, supporting and growing existing customers, and contributing to various internal team priorities. This role requires the ability to credibly articulate the value of Meshy’s products to a diverse set of customers and partners, including artists, developers, and executives.
What You’ll Do
- Build strong relationships with game developers and position Meshy as an indispensable tool in concepting, prototyping and production.
- Deliver on revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain a healthy deal pipeline.
- Accurately forecast and report on your business.
- Manage and qualify inbound leads.
- Represent Meshy at industry events and conferences.
- Travel regularly to meet customers and attend events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy and product development.
What You’ll Need
- 4-8+ years of relevant experience in the games, animation, or 3D software industries.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a startup environment where you will collaborate across multiple teams (product, marketing, finance, engineering, etc…).
- History of exceeding sales targets or KPIs.
- Technical aptitude to run your own demos and engage on concepts related to generative AI as well as 3D creation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal/presentation.
- Ability to work independently with integrity and trust.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Quota-carrying sales or business development experience.
- Location in or near a major production center (e.g. SF Bay Area, Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver, Austin, Montreal, New York, etc…)
- Bonus for Mandarin or Spanish language skills
