Odyssey helps 7 & 8-figure e-commerce brands increase revenue, ROAS, and high-fives. With our unique understanding of messaging, targeting, media channels, and creative, we help companies find the inflection point that unlocks their next stage of growth.

We're looking for a driven, well-connected business development manager to lead new client acquisition from sourcing and pitching to closing. You'll be the face of Odyssey to prospective DTC brands, building on relationships you already have in the space and creating new ones.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate and qualify new leads through outbound outreach, referrals, and your existing network of DTC/e-commerce contacts

  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients from first touch through signed contract

  • Pitch Odyssey's services to founders, CMOs, and marketing leads at high-growth e-commerce brands

  • Craft and deliver compelling proposals, decks, and pricing structures tailored to each prospect

  • Negotiate contract terms and close new business

  • Represent Odyssey at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and generate leads

  • Work closely with leadership to refine positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy based on market feedback

  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting using CRM tools

  • Collaborate with the account management and creative teams to ensure smooth handoff and onboarding of new clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

  • 3-5+ years of business development, sales, or account growth experience at an advertising agency or SaaS platform that serves DTC brands

  • Existing relationships with and understanding of the DTC / e-commerce brand landscape

  • Proven track record of generating leads, running a sales pipeline, and closing deals

  • Strong understanding of paid media, performance marketing, and creative services (enough to speak credibly to what Odyssey delivers)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to founders and executives

  • Self-starter who can operate independently and build a book of business with minimal hand-holding

  • Can-do attitude is a must; this is a start-up that requires you to wear many hats and deal with a certain level of day-to-day uncertainty

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $85,000 - $140,000 total compensation range

  • Flexible PTO
