Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong and long lasting relationships with operators in the Caribbean Area.
- Assist Finance team on reconciliation of balances/invoices, check on remaining deposits, and assist with sales estimation during peak season.
- Strategize on how to grow the local market particularly in the greater Caribbean Area.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to promote the local market, and promote reseller / affiliate programs.
- Find new local operators in the Caribbean Area, find new deals, and maximize profit for the company from current operators.
- At least 3 years of experience in business development/ sales.
- Online travel background (GDS, OTA, Meta Searches, bus/ferry companies, TMS etc.).
- Strategic business-oriented thinking based on data.
- Our tech stack: ClickUp, Slack, Jira, Confluence, Google Analytics, Google Docs.
- Ability to achieve goals and proactivity: close the agreements, find growth points, find solutions to increase sales and more.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal. Proficiency in French or/and Portuguese is a plus.
- Good understanding of competitors and the market of travel, ground transportation in the greater Caribbean Area would be a plus.
- Ability to travel within the region.
- Previous remote work and travel industry related experience in the Caribbean Area and Latinoamerican region would be a plus.
