This is a remote position.

You will be responsible for finding, managing and closing new leads.  If you’re someone who has worked within the publishing industry or publicity space, has experience working with authors, and enjoys the process of selling, this role is for you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Translate PR by the Book passion for book promotion and digital expertise to potential clients

  • Develop ongoing publisher and author relationships, turning those leads into clients

  • Speak and/or attend publishing conferences/trade shows and writing conferences to promote PR by the Book (within the U.S)


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional sales experience in publishing or publicity

  • Likes people and makes friends easily

  • Positive  attitude/ team player

  • Creative

  • Experience with book industry, PR and book marketing

  • Proactive problem solver that is solutions-oriented

  • Professionally sales-trained and proven salesperson

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Current relationships with publishing companies and author organizations
