West Monroe is seeking a sales and delivery executive to join us for a role based in Northwest Arkansas in our Consumer and Industrial Products practice. This role will focus on selling and delivering services to clients in the retail and CPG industry as well as providing clients with thought-leadership on applying new and proven methods to help innovate their business. This role will be responsible for key client relationship building, project identification, scoping, selling, and maintaining a local presence at our accounts in Northwest Arkansas. In addition, this leader will help to mature our offerings within the retail space and play a leadership role within our national Consumer and Industrial Products practice.

Business Development
- Provide local and on-site representation at local accounts and prospects
- Build local relationships in the client ecosphere with clients as well as collaborative partnering technology, software, and other business vendors
- Help respond to requests and create demand for new initiatives with local clients – using relationships and other proven business development skills
- Initiate and lead business development meetings with current and prospective clients
- Understand investment needs and requirements and help turn those goals into concrete engagements and detailed proposals
- Attend networking events and actively build and leverage a professional network and affiliate network in the local community (including retail affiliated organizations such as NRF, Shoptalk, etc.)
Client Delivery
- Participate with or lead teams serving clients while demonstrating executive presence with high level client counterparts
- Interface with all levels of business and technology leadership both internally and at client sites
- Work with program and project leadership to implement processes and technology that support business value and process efficiency across business and technical functions
- Facilitate client workshops focused on project initiation and executive steering meetings
- Understand the underlying business processes and technologies being used within an organization to be able to make recommendations on how to achieve long-term scalability, reduce operational cost, or better support business processes
- Ensure proper management of project economics including:
- Project budgets, invoicing, and the collection process
- Mentor and manage teams of technical and business consultants and QA the plans and work done by the team
- Quickly respond to client requests while also driving the project to completion
Practice Development
- Collaborate with practice leadership to ensure alignment with company culture, define the strategic direction of the account team, and actively lead entrepreneurial activities to expand offerings and the skills of the team
- Drive the development/enhancement of West Monroe’s methodologies and approaches to client delivery
- Coach and mentor consultants and actively participate in the performance management process
- Actively participate in recruiting and retaining top quality consultants
- Assist in developing Technology tools and processes
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years participating in team-based, client-facing business and technology consulting services across the retail industry with primary focus on big box, home improvement, grocery, drugstores, and QSR
- Knowledge of the latest industry trends within retail
- 5+ years’ experience managing teams of technical and functional; as well as prior hands-on experience with store operations transformation, eCommerce and multichannel design and implementation, retail supply chain, merchandising and category management.
- Proven sales professional with extensive ability to build solid and collaborative relationships with team members, foster a productive team environment, and coach staff with timely meaningful written and verbal feedback
- Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning and analysis
- Experience farming new business from existing clients and managing client relationships
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and quality experience
- Strong business development and an active professional network of contacts in the local market as well as across the top domestic retailers
- Membership and visibility in relevant professional organizations
- Deep industry expertise within the retail space is required
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills; and in-depth knowledge of project planning methodologies and software development life cycles
- Strong communication skills to be able to work with clients and present to C-level executives
- Ability to travel required
Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is listed below. Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Employees in proximity of our Seattle, Washington DC, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco offices will have a geographic premium applied to this salary scale.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
