POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business & Data Analyst (Data and Systems Analyst) plays a strategic role in supporting and optimizing internal systems, data models, and project delivery processes. This is not a client-facing position but is critical to the success of internal operations and tool governance. The role requires a blend of project management, data analysis, and technical skills, with a strong focus on structured design, development & roll-out, documentation and innovation.


RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Lead and support internal project delivery initiatives within the PS organization, ensuring structured execution and documentation.
  • Design and maintain data models and linkages across internal systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Act as a business and data analyst, translating operational needs into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Own and manage design work, including documentation and version control, for internal tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Product, PS) to support integration and reporting needs.
  • Support PSA tool operations, including configuration, training, and enhancement initiatives.
  • Contribute to innovation by identifying process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Deliver internal presentations and documentation to share knowledge and promote best practices.
  • Other tasks and activities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years of experience working as a business and data analyst.
  • PMP, Prince2, IPMA certification or equivalent project delivery experience in a PS organization.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and VB coding.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Passion for data modeling and data linkage.
  • Ability to independently own and structure design and specification work.
  • Confident presenter with an engaging personality.
  • Creative problem-solver and out-of-the-box thinker.
  • Passionate about documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Enthusiastic about technology and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Qlik), SQL, or similar technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with PSA tools (e.g., configuration, training, operations).
  • Familiarity with AdaptiveWork (formerly Clarizen) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with core software development practices, including code repositories, version control, and change management—is considered an asset.Experience in working with large datasets and Excel files.
  • Background in interfacing between PS and IT (e.g., DWH, SFDC, integrations).
  • Familiarity with development processes, versioning, and change management is a strong plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
    • Extensive use of the computer, which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday.
    • Joining, scheduling, attending Teams calls.
    • May require 5% of travel or less.
