Leidos is seeking a Business Analyst to support Agile software delivery within an internal service center aligned to the Digital Modernization Sector and Mission Drivers Enablement Center; this position will allow for full time telework from any U.S. based location.
 

POSTION SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst serves as the primary interface between stakeholders and the Agile development team, operating as the internal Product Owner in close partnership with the customer. This role is responsible for translating mission and business needs into a prioritized, actionable backlog and ensuring user stories meet business objectives and operational expectations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with customer stakeholders to elicit, analyze, write and refine business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritization and refinement, ensuring alignment across customer, development, product and program leadership while incorporating operational considerations.
  • Act as the day-to-day Product Owner for the Scrum team, providing direction, clarifications, and decision support.
  • Translate complex business requirements into functional specifications and system-level recommendations.
  • Partner with Scrum Master to facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement and sprint planning.
  • Drive requirements traceability, validation, and facilitation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Ensure continuous alignment across stakeholders, development team, product management and program leadership.
  • Escalate customer issues and concerns via product manager appropriately.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support delivery of data-informed solutions.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a customer specific Public Trust clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. 
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe) and SDLC practices. 
  • Experience functioning as a Product Owner or Product Owner proxy. 
  • Proven ability to manage backlogs, write effective user stories, and support Product Owner functions. 
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience with Agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Agility). 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Existing Federal Agency Secret security clearance.
  • Experience working in regulated environments such as government, healthcare, or finance.
  • Business process modeling (BPMN, UML, workflow diagrams). 
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI, Microsoft Visio).
  • Agile or BA certifications (CSPO, CBAP, PMI-PBA).

Pay Range:Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
