The Business Analyst will consult with customers, translate challenges into strategies, optimize go-to-market motions, and address technical issues within the HockeyStack platform.
The summary above was generated by AI

HockeyStack is building the agent infrastructure for enterprise revenue. We spent five years building the only data architecture that preserves causality across the full revenue stack — every interaction, every signal, in sequence. On top of that foundation, we built Nex-lm, a purpose-built AI engine that compiles natural language into deterministic agent workflows. The result is a platform that can extract the revenue blueprint from a company's data, encode it into repeatable automations, and execute it across sales, marketing, and customer success — consistently, at scale.

We are not building a dashboard tool with an AI feature. We are building the operating layer that replaces the human bottleneck in enterprise revenue organizations. This is a category being defined right now, and we intend to own it.

We have raised $50M+ from Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Y Combinator, and others.

We operate fully in-person in San Francisco. We move fast and we hire people who want to win.

Since launching late 2023, we have grown to 8-figures in ARR, process over 60 TB of revenue data monthly, and we are working with some of the largest B2B companies in the world like Microsoft, Harvey, New Relic, Collibra, etc.

🚀 Your Mission

We're looking for a Business Analyst to serve as a consultant to our customers — helping them solve their most pressing go-to-market challenges using HockeyStack's platform and data. You'll work directly with customers to understand their business goals, diagnose problems, and deliver strategic recommendations that drive measurable growth. Think of this as an advisory role: you're the person our customers turn to when they need to make better decisions, faster.

🔧 What You’ll Do
  • Act as a trusted consultant to customers, helping them translate business challenges into actionable strategies using HockeyStack's platform.

  • Advise customers on how to optimize their GTM motions — from pipeline generation to revenue conversion — based on data-driven insights.

  • Partner with Customer Success Managers to deliver support and strengthen long-term customer relationships.

  • Troubleshoot customers' technical challenges by diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and guiding them to effective solutions within the HockeyStack platform.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and CS to bring customer feedback into the product and improve value realization.

🧩 What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, strategy, or an advisory role with a client-facing component. Experience in B2B, SaaS, or GTM environments is a strong plus.

  • Strong business acumen — you understand how revenue teams operate and can connect customer problems to strategic solutions.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — you're comfortable presenting recommendations to senior leaders.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to support business recommendations, without needing to be a SQL expert.

  • Ownership-first mindset — you take initiative, move fast, and figure things out.

  • You thrive in early-stage, high-urgency environments where speed and impact matter.

✨ Why Join Now?

We’re at an inflection point. The product is proven, the market is massive, and the opportunity is wide open. You’ll be joining a company with real traction, rapid growth, and meaningful backing—where every person still shapes the outcome. This isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to build something category-defining with people who care deeply about doing it right.

This is a remote role based on the East Coast (ET or CT time zones preferred). You'll work closely with our San Francisco HQ team and customer base across US time zones. The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 USD, adjusted for experience and qualifications.

HockeyStack is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status. We celebrate diversity and are committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all employees.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
