The Team
Upstart’s Lending Partnerships team is responsible for building and supporting successful relationships with our bank and credit union partners. The team plays a key role in helping partners onboard to Upstart’s platform, optimize performance, and adapt to an evolving lending landscape. As our network of partners continues to grow, the team is focused on scaling operations, enabling partner success, and driving impact across the organization.
As a Business Analyst on the Lending Partnerships team at Upstart, you will support data-driven operations and reporting for our partners. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure smooth delivery of insights, operational support, and new initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, collaborative, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
How you’ll make an impact
- Respond to partner questions and requests with speed and professionalism, ensuring a high-quality client experience.
- Support monthly delivery of reports with accuracy and consistency, helping clients understand performance.
- Communicate assignment results clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage access requests and permissions across systems, ensuring secure and appropriate data visibility.
- Analyze and document current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic projects and emerging business needs.
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and ad hoc requests, contributing to a dynamic and fast-moving team.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a business analyst, operations, or strategy-related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with SQL or data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Entrepreneurial mindset: curious, resourceful, and proactive
- Familiarity with financial services, fintech, or consumer lending industries
At Upstart, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the below range. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic location–with our “digital first” philosophy, Upstart uses compensation regions that vary depending on location. Individual pay is also determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
