Job Summary
This role sits within the Actuarial Ceded Reinsurance team and supports treaty renewals for the UK portfolio. The position involves cross-functional collaboration, data analysis, and reporting to support reinsurance decision-making and performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Treaty Submission Data Preparation
- ·Collect, validate, and prepare data for treaty submissions and analytical review, including loss ratios and expense metrics
- Partner with actuarial and underwriting teams to confirm assumptions, inputs, and methodologies
- Review subject bordereaux and develop limit profiles to support accurate treaty evaluation
Ceded IBNR Oversight
- Maintain and update earned premium mappings at the treaty level
- Provide accurate and timely quarterly data inputs to the reserving team to support ceded IBNR analysis
Treaty Analysis & Reporting
- Produce internal P&L and performance reports for reinsurance treaties and portfolios
- Analyze gross-to-net results to evaluate treaty performance
- Identify trends, variances, and key drivers impacting reinsurance outcomes
Reinsurance Governance & Reporting
- Prepare and update quarterly materials for the Reinsurance Steering Committee
- Develop treaty performance summaries, key metrics, and actionable insights
- Present findings in a clear, concise, and decision-ready format for senior management
Qualifications
· Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
· Programming experience (e.g., VBA, SQL, or similar) strongly preferred
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
· Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$75,000/year
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
