Help deliver accurate, timely year-end tax reporting in a fast-paced, high-volume operations environment. In this role, you will coordinate deliverables, validate complex datasets, investigate exceptions, and strengthen reporting controls. You will partner with stakeholders across operations, reporting, and technology to improve efficiency and reporting readiness.
As a Client Tax Operations Manager, Senior Associate in the Client tax operations team, you will support execution of the annual year-end tax reporting program by coordinating deliverables, performing data validations and exception analysis, and supporting process improvements. You will help ensure reporting deliverables are completed on time, accurately, and completely, and that processes align with Internal Revenue Service requirements and internal standards. You will succeed by combining strong analytical execution, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Job responsibilities- Support planning and execution of the annual year-end tax reporting program, including deliverables tracking and readiness activities
- Coordinate cross-functional deliverables, identify risks and issues, and escalate with recommended corrective actions and recovery plans
- Perform data validations, reconciliations, and quality checks to support reporting accuracy and completeness across multiple business areas
- Use advanced Microsoft Excel and Alteryx to prepare, analyze, and quality-check large datasets and identify trends, anomalies, and potential reporting gaps
- Produce stakeholder-ready status reporting and analysis outputs, including written summaries and visual formats as needed
- Investigate exceptions, complete root-cause analysis, and partner with reporting and operations teams to drive timely remediation ahead of reporting deadlines
- Monitor Internal Revenue Service reporting requirements and regulatory changes and support implementation activities and updates to controls and documentation
- Maintain and update procedures, job aids, and control documentation to reflect system and process changes and support consistent execution
- Support exception reporting by assisting with intake and requirements, user acceptance testing support, release readiness, and ongoing enhancements in partnership with technology teams
- Identify and advance process improvement and automation opportunities that enhance accuracy, control strength, and operational efficiency
- 4 years of experience in tax reporting operations, consumer lending or servicing operations, collections operations, or a data and controls-focused operations role
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional deliverables accurately and on time
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, such as pivot tables, complex formulas, and reconciliation methods
- Proficiency in Alteryx, including building repeatable workflows for data preparation, validation, and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets with strong attention to detail and data quality discipline
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, investigative, and root-cause analysis skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate findings, impacts, and next steps to stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment and work independently with high accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint for documentation and stakeholder communications
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and re-prioritize work as needed to meet deadlines
- Experience supporting year-end tax reporting programs and related reporting deliverables, such as Forms 1098, 1099, and Form 1042-S
- Experience supporting more than one operations function or business area
- Experience with automation and workflow tools to support validation and process efficiency, such as UiPath
- Experience supporting reporting change implementation, controls documentation, and operating procedures in a regulated environment
- Developing experience using artificial intelligence-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes
