The Brand Safety & Compliance Coordinator is embedded within the Client Services team and supports the safe, accurate, and efficient execution of creator marketing campaigns. Working closely with account teams, Creator Relations, and cross-functional partners, this role ensures creators are properly vetted, campaign information is accurately maintained across internal systems, and creator content is reviewed against client-specific brand safety requirements.

This role is essential to ensuring creator partnerships are operationally sound and aligned with each client’s brand safety expectations. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple campaign workflows and systems, and able to exercise sound judgment when identifying and escalating creator or content risks to Client Services leads.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end operational management of creators across assigned client campaigns, from initial intake and vetting through launch and post-launch monitoring;
  • Validate creator information and maintain accurate records across internal systems, providing account teams with reliable campaign data;
  • Review creator content and profiles against client-specific brand safety guidelines, campaign requirements, and approved escalation protocols;
  • Document findings clearly and escalate potential risks to the appropriate Client Services lead for decision-making, identifying risks proactively before they affect campaigns;
  • Monitor live creator activity and campaign compliance, partnering with Client Services, Creator Relations, and other cross-functional teams to communicate findings;
  • Support decisions regarding creator suitability and campaign continuity;
  • Manage multiple client campaign workflows simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and adherence to established Client Services processes;
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams to support seamless campaign execution, balancing speed and quality in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in influencer marketing, creator operations, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and the creator/influencer landscape.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies and ensure data accuracy across systems.
  • Sound judgment and critical thinking skills, particularly when evaluating creators and content against client-specific brand safety guidelines and campaign requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet tools (e.g., Google Sheets or Excel) and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and escalate issues.
  • Ability to partner effectively with Client Services, Creator Relations, and cross-functional campaign teams.
  • Comfort working with sensitive or nuanced content.
  • Experience with creator vetting, influencer campaign operations, campaign content review, brand safety, or advertising compliance workflows is an asset.
  • Experience working with internal tracking systems, CRMs, or workflow tools is an asset.

Compensation Philosophy:

At Viral Nation, compensation is structured, performance-led, and market-aligned. Pay decisions are intentional, based on role requirements, performance, and market alignment by country, and are set to maintain internal pay equity across comparable roles and levels.

Compensation progression is tied to demonstrated performance, expanded scope, and sustained contribution over time, not tenure alone. Employee compensation is reviewed regularly through formal performance reviews and check-ins to ensure alignment with role expectations and impact.

AI in Recruitment:

Viral Nation does not use AI-enabled tools to screen, assess, rank, or select candidates – our hiring teams make all hiring decisions. AI note-taking tools may be used during interviews.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
