Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio that is best known for our hit indie horror game "Poppy Playtime".  This franchise is one of the hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands.  To give a taste of our brand's popularity, more than 100 billion YouTube views of Poppy Playtime related content have occured since the game's launch 4 years ago. 


The role is responsible for providing a quality design, product development, brand assurance and approval service for consumer products business – with focus on the kidult Market

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of International Licensing to ideate drive product development initiatives and partnerships for the regions.
  • Follow through from ideation to final product approval liaising with multiple stakeholders across Mob - including marketing, legal, game development and narrative to ensure development is on brand
  • Ensure the product development from licensees proceeds smoothly and achieves production deadlines and targets maintaining a high degree of design integrity, brand consistency and commercial competitiveness
  • You will have direct responsibility for product development, from concept through to production, on assigned licensees covering EMEA and Asian markets ensuring creative excellence and integrity across all markets for MOB’s IP’s, with particular focus on Poppy Playtime.
  • Provide a quality design service to licensees, ensuring a high level of design input, range planning and commercial guidance to maximise the brand and commercial potential.
  • Understand and navigate technical requirements of licensees and retailers without losing brand integrity.
  • Actively evaluate the brand assurance needs or partners beyond the core brand materials.
  • Manage development of creative materials such as photo shoots, trade fairs and catalogues, SoMe content etc.
  • Identify market trends and use them to drive creativity and identify new areas of business and establish design requirements.
  • Input towards style guide development in line with overall budget, creative direction and market needs
  • Ensure all products follow the design requirements in adherence with the style guides, and that ethical and brand protection and rights requirements are featured on all product and packaging
  • Work with the wider CPG team, marketing and game development to support inspiration boards, and PD plans for presentation purposes
  • Give creative support for live activations in local territory activations
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of Poppy Playtime lore and gameplay

KEY Criteria

  • Extensive background developing product development for a licensor.  Those with experience from agents or licensees may be considered
  • Experience with adult or Kidult brands
  • Cross Category experience is preferential
  • Commercial acumen - aware of trends and competitor activities
  • Communication and presentation skills - experience onboarding new partners or presenting to licensees and retailers
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of the licensing sector
  • Experience in  the gaming sector is preferential
  • Experience with Flowhaven is a plus
