As a Brand Accountant at Neighborly, a typical day for you will include:

  • Analyze financial information detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.   

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. 

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your franchise business owners. 

  • Prepare/review and assist with bank account reconciliations. 

  • Submit/verify financial data for Royalty submissions. 

  • Train and support franchise and staff in industry software accounting practices and procedures. 

  • Support franchises with special accounting requests. 

  • Provide effective and efficient communication with assigned franchises to build strong relationships. 

  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information 

  • Understand and apply generally accepted accounting principles within the business environment. 

  • Ensure client transactions are recorded timely and accurately. 

  • Provide feedback for and participate in continuous improvement of procedures and processes. 

  • Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than their own.

  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work. 

  • Must have strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills. 

  • Strong understanding of accounting processes. 

  • Ability to work remotely. 

  • Ability to understand and meet strict deadlines. 

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online. 

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or general Business required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in general Bookkeeping/Accounting   

  • Expertise with QuickBooks (Online Required) 

  • Schedule / in-office requirements:

    • Remote
