Job Summary

As a Boston Dynamics Senior Consultant, you will help grow our core business by helping customers do more with our existing robotics products, advising them on how to achieve their automation and data needs using our products, and to think strategically to advance their automation needs and adoption of dynamic & intelligent systems. To do this, you will build in- depth knowledge of our robotics & software solutions and demonstrate the ability to think strategically to extract insights out of our platforms, provide world class delivery of strategy projects & workshops, and demonstrate a deep understanding of the robotics and automation landscape.

The Senior Consultant – Boston Dynamics Consulting – works directly with external clients on paid engagements, operating with a high degree of independence. They will learn from and synthesize insights from our product leaders and external experts to shape strategic direction, perform complex analysis, and develop planning recommendations for customers. Examples of projects Senior Consultants will help structure and deliver include developing client specific “roadmap to humanoids”, doing operations assessments & gap analyses, running VIGOR (Vision, Investment, Governance, Operational Readiness, and Resourcing) workshops to improve positive outcomes from adopting dynamic systems, business case development, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become a trusted advisor to external customers and deliver client projects around the strategy or implementation of robotics & intelligence solutions.

  • Lead strategic analysis efforts on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive positioning to support customer decision-making.

  • Develop and refine business cases, scenario plans, and models to evaluate key opportunities and investments.

  • Translate complex data and insights into compelling executive-level presentations and planning documents.

  • Provide ongoing project management around complex engineering and strategy engagements.

  • Structure & lead workshops for clients.

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building best practices within the strategic planning function.

  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and handle complex, ambiguous problems with structured thinking.

  • Excellent storytelling and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions.

  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Strategy, or related field; MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, management consulting, or business development.

  • Experience leading projects or significant workstreams in cross-functional environments.
