We are seeking a highly experienced and independent Board Director to serve on the Investment Committee,. This role involves providing strategic oversight, independent judgment, and expert guidance on investment strategy, capital allocation, mergers & acquisitions, and long-term value creation.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in investment analysis in tech sector specifically, portfolio management, and financial decision-making within regulated and cross-border environments.
Responsibilities- Review, evaluate, and approve investment proposals, capital deployment strategies, and major transactions
- Provide guidance on mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and strategic partnerships
- Ensure alignment of investment decisions with long-term business objectives and risk appetite
- Assess financial models, valuations, and investment assumptions
- Challenge and validate management’s investment recommendations using independent judgment
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend corrective or optimization actions
- Ensure investments comply with internal governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Oversee investment risk assessment, return expectations, and capital preservation strategies
- Support transparency, accountability, and best-practice investment governance
- Actively participate in Investment Committee and Board meetings
- Review investment performance reports and provide strategic input
- Advise the Board on market trends, economic conditions, and emerging opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, Economics) preferred
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and advisory skills
- Education obtained from a reputed and recognized university
- Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA, CPA, ACCA) considered a strong advantage
- 10–15 years of senior-level experience in investment management, corporate finance, private equity, banking, or M&A
- Proven experience serving on investment committees or senior decision-making forums
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, capital markets, and investment risk management
- Familiarity with European financial markets and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
