We are currently seeking a full-time Billing Manager to join our Finance Team. As a member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for all Invoicing for Time & Materials and Cost-Plus contracts throughout the company. This includes the timely and accurate creation of invoices, ensuring that all invoices have been sent to clients, and follow-up within the company or with clients as needed. This position will also supervise a team, manage the daily workflow as well as contribute to process improvements. 

 

The Billing Manager is expected to be a high-integrity performer who has a keen eye for detail, fosters a collaborative environment, and owns the Time & Materials and Cost-Plus invoicing matters for the company.  


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:   

  • Manage the team performing the monthly workflow for invoicing for Time & Materials and Cost-Plus contracts including: 
  • Review employee expenses.  
  • Incorporate subcontractor invoices. 
  • Ensure proper collection of labor costs.  
  • Creation of invoices, cover letters, and any other supporting documentation. 
  • Post invoices in Unanet. 
  • Monitor that all invoices are sent. 
  • Ensure that all invoices are reviewed and approved. 
  • Correspond with vendors and Clients. 
  • Month-end and year-end activities. 
  • Evaluate billing procedures for inefficiencies and make suggestions for process improvement. 
  • Participate in the development of a new ERP system as act as a subject matter expert on behalf of the Billing department. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer (CFO). 

 

Minimum qualifications:   

  • A Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Accounting or Finance related field. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of billing experience. 
  • A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience. 
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors.   
  • High attention to detail and excellent communication and organizational skills.   
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills. 
  • Ability to work well with the team and independently.  
  • Effectively provide change management where necessary.   


Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of $68,000 - $88,000/Annually 

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in  six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
