A Brief Overview
Follows processes to assist with revenue cycle management, compliance, and documentation, as well as customer service and issue resolution. Provides support in ensuring accurate billing, efficient revenue flow, and compliance with regulations.
What you will do

  • Gathers and reviews client billing data, identifies discrepancies, and suggests enhancements to streamline operations and improve efficiency and cost savings.
  • Communicates with cross-functional teams such as finance, IT, and operations, to develop and implement process improvements related to premium billing.
  • Collects money, finalizes dues, and ensures appropriate allocation across benefits structure.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • Confers with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory concerns.
  • Collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to address customer inquiries, resolve billing discrepancies, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Determines appropriate treatment of overdue accounts and coordinates collection and cancellation of overdue customers.
  • Documents all customer correspondence and maintains confidential records of patient information.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of customer service specifically in accounts receivable.
  • Excel knowledge and other Microsoft applications.
  • Adaptability Skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior billing/collections.
  • Associates/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$17.00 - $34.15

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
