The Billing Associate is an individual contributor who understands our overall business objectives, and provides our business partners and our agents with exceptional quality work consistent with Arbella’s brand. A successful Billing Associate will work under immediate supervision to ensure timely and accurate processing, posting, reconciliation and reporting of all payments received from customers and agents. This individual will also handle the issuance of refunds and other disbursements as required. Key Responsibilities
- Researches and analyzes policy and billing activity and proactively identifies issues.
- Understands the end-to-end billing processes, procedures and billing schedules.
- Understands the billing systems and the systems that support them.
- Demonstrates functional and technical skills to ensure customer and billing activities are accurate.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing, posting, reconciliation and reporting of all billing processes.
- Reviews billing exceptions and takes appropriate billing action
- Builds relationships with our internal and external customers, agents, vendors, and others, and is committed to delivering exceptional service.
- Effectively communicates with internal customers and agents across multiple communication channels.
- Collaborates effectively in a team environment and across departments.
- Performs work with a strong attention to detail with an ability to deal with ambiguity and interpret and process complex work.
- Ability to recognize and escalate problems appropriately and timely.
- Contributes to a positive team atmosphere, overall department goals, and is active in promoting Arbella’s core values.
- Performs other related work as required or requested.
Requirements:
- General working knowledge of MS Office
- Sound analytical and math skills
- Flexible and adaptable when faced with change
- Ability to multi task
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Quick learner, able to navigate multiple systems and products
- Works well individually as well as a team
Our current reasonable and good faith estimate of the annual salary or hourly wage range for this position is approximately $43.355 ($23.00 an hour) - $46,000 ($24.40 an hour) based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience,.
