Overview
The Benefits and Compensation Manager is responsible for administering, developing, and ensuring compliance with the Company’s benefits and compensation program. The position is directly responsible for ensuring operational excellence with all benefit and compensation plans. Also ensures compliance, market competitiveness, and sustainability of compensation, benefits, and leaves of absence in strong collaboration and partnership with the employees, managers, executives, and the global Human Resources team.
- Administers the Company’s benefit plans and policies to ensure all plans support our Company culture and are positioned to be highly competitive in the market.
- Maintain company-wide compliance with government regulations including FLSA and Equal Pay Act, DOL, wage and hour regulations, ERISA, 401(k), COBRA, HIPPA, FMLA, PMFL, and IRS regulations for all benefits and compensation plans.
- Administers and ensures compliance with the Company’s leave of absence plans (STD and LTD) and compliance with all state and federal regulations and statutory requirements.
- Provides data analysis as required and identifies trends and potential areas of development.
- Develop strong partnership with brokers and key advisors to ensure compliance and market competitive benefit offerings.
- Administers and develops compensation approaches and leveling in partnership with global human resources team.
- Responsible for compensation policies and pay practices to develop competitive compensation plans, including utilizing competitive benchmark data and surveys.
Requirements
- 10+ years of benefits administration experience
- 5+ years of compensation administration with mid-size companies.
- Subject matter expert with all benefit and compensation plans.
- Excellent working knowledge and understanding of global benefits and compensation plans.
- Extensive experience with complex, best-in class benefit and compensation plans.
- Strong track-record of collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
- Must have a solutions-focused approach.
- Exceptional ability to listen and act as a resource to employees and managers. High degree of understanding, support, and empathy when dealing with employee benefits and leave related matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) and or Senior Human Resources Management Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification(s) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with finance and legal teams, global human resources and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in effective management of employee benefit plans including communication and education of plans to organization.
- In-depth experience with ERISA, IRS, DOL audit and reporting and disclosure compliance, FLSA compliance and current working knowledge of HRIS systems.
- Track record of successful collaboration and team leadership across multiple teams and stakeholders.
