Profile Summary:

Benefitfocus, Inc., a Voya company, is a leading provider of cloud-based benefits software solutions for consumers, employers, insurance carriers and brokers. Benefitfocus solutions support the administration of all types of benefits including core medical, dental, and other voluntary benefits plans as well as wellness programs. 

The Benefitfocus Sales Solutions Engineer is focused on supporting strategic channel partnerships. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in developing and executing a strategic joint plan alongside partners focused on enabling the sales organization with tools and capabilities necessary to effectively demonstrate the value of the partnership. 

Profile Description:

  • Work in conjunction with our internal Strategic Partners team, and our strategic partners to drive growth

  • Act as the lead technical representative during the pre-sales process for our strategic partners, establishing demo environments and managing necessary coordination with partners

  • Deliver detailed, comprehensive software demonstrations to prospective customers onsite, online, and via telephone

  • Work in a challenging, fast-paced environment to provide expert knowledge of our software products and implementation methodology

  • Assess the need and develop the technical solutions necessary to support the effective sales enablement of channel partners

  • Work with product management and engineers to understand Benefit focus’ product offering and technical architecture

  • Travel up to 25% in support of partner engagements

  • Assist in the completion of functional and technical responses for RFI/ RFP’s and develop partner capabilities to effectively respond

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience demonstrating complex application functionality and designing customer-specific software solutions for large enterprise deals

  • Experience supporting strategic partners and developing relationships.

  • Knowledge of enterprise-level software technology, including server hardware, networking, web applications, electronic data exchange, and service -oriented architectures

  • At least 3-5 years general software industry experience

  • 2+ years experience selling both software products and services, preferably in one of these industries: employee benefits, human resources, payroll, healthcare, or other HCM practices

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in computer software or systems. Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree preferred, or substitute degree/experience in human resources, employee benefits, or healthcare.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya may offer incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$110,000-$140,000
