Position Overview
Blue Acorn iCi is seeking a strategic, data-driven B2B Marketing Consultant with deep expertise in the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)—preferably Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Real-Time CDP (RTCDP)—to help our enterprise clients design and execute world-class customer engagement strategies.
In this role, you’ll act as both strategist and trusted advisor, connecting marketing strategy with data and technology to deliver measurable business outcomes. You’ll help clients evolve their digital-marketing maturity, orchestrate customer journeys across channels, and bring together the people, processes, and technology required for modern, data-driven marketing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Strategic B2B Engagements — Design and implement data-driven marketing strategies that span the entire buyer journey—from awareness to advocacy—leveraging Adobe’s AEP stack.
  • Bridge Strategy and Technology — Translate marketing goals into actionable use cases that connect AEP capabilities (AJO, RTCDP) to pipeline growth, customer retention, and ROI.
  • Consultative Partnering — Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, facilitating workshops, defining business requirements, and aligning marketing activation with measurable outcomes.
  • Customer Journey Design — Develop segmentation frameworks, orchestration plans, and personalization strategies rooted in data insights and behavioral triggers.
  • Operational Maturity & Roadmapping — Create and implement strategic roadmaps that enhance digital-marketing operations, data governance, and omnichannel activation.
  • Drive Measurable Outcomes — Ensure every engagement ties back to business value—improving conversion, engagement, retention, and overall marketing performance.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, marketing strategy, or marketing-technology consulting.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), ideally AJO and RTCDP.
  • Proven success designing and executing data-driven customer engagement programs across the full buyer journey.
  • Strong ability to translate complex business goals into measurable marketing use cases.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills—able to influence senior stakeholders and drive consensus.
  • Background in MarTech ecosystems (Adobe Experience Cloud, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Passion for connecting technology, creativity, and business impact.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
