This senior role is responsible for managing and optimizing Azure infrastructure in a complex multi-subscription environment, with a focus on security, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency. The position supports engineering teams by developing infrastructure standards, automation, and self-service capabilities that enable teams to manage their own environments effectively. This role also helps improve application deployment speed, control infrastructure costs, and support the delivery of new products and services.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions using industry best practices
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across DevOps practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy robust, automated systems
- Support mission-critical applications and services through scalable infrastructure solutions
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and reliability of cloud environments
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions
- Participate in the on-call rotation and incident response activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of eight (8) years of proven Azure cloud experience with AWS and GCP being a bonus.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform and/or Azure Resource Manager (ARM)/Bicep.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience managing application infrastructure in Azure (e.g. App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Container Apps, Virtual Machine Scale Sets) and ability to design and diagnose production grade deployments at scale.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of production grade coding experience with languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python and Golang for scripting and automation of services.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of cloud security, best practices and compliance standards such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
