Job Summary:
The Autonomous Vessel Test Manager will conduct remote testing and oversee all on the water testing of our innovative marine autonomy systems.  Our culture is dynamic, collaborative and biased towards execution. You’re passionate about evaluating and demonstrating new technology for the maritime industry.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and manage systematic field-testing program of all advanced marine autonomous systems.
  • Methodically validate system features and performance on a variety of marine vessels and simulators to provide detailed performance and quality data to technical teams.
  • Analyze large sets of test and operational data to identify performance trends.
  • Maintain thorough and well-structured documentation of test procedures and results ensuring traceability.
  • Conduct on-the-water and remote demonstrations of marine autonomy system technologies to customers, investors and media.
  • Provide operational support for safety and system certification testing.
  • Share knowledge of marine systems and vessel operations with technology teams for the development of new products and features.
  • Build a culture of marine operational excellence within the operations department.
Requirements and Skills
  • 3+ years’ progressive experience in professional maritime positions aboard commercial vessels.
  • Current marine 100t tonnage license or greater; experience as a Mate or Captain.
  • Proficiency with bridge navigation and communications systems.
  • Ability to work with modern graphical user interfaces of common bridge systems and troubleshoot.
  • Excellent analytical and program solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
