We are looking for an Atlassian Marketplace Application Support Engineer to join our team to partner with cross-functional teams across the company and provide technical and product leadership for our suite of Marketplace Apps.

About You:

  • Experience Level: Senior/Principal
  • Experience supporting Atlassian tools, including: Jira (Software, Core, Service Management), Confluence and other Atlassian Marketplace apps
  • Deep understanding of Jira configurations, including:
    • Different scheme types (permission schemes, issue type schemes, notification schemes, workflow schemes, etc.) and their interactions.
    • Permission structures and how various entities (groups, roles, issue security levels, etc.) interact to control user access.
    • Jira Query Language (JQL) for searching, reporting, and automation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently while documenting solutions and assisting customers in configuring their Atlassian environments.
  • Experience working remotely in a globally distributed team, demonstrating strong time management and self-motivation.

Bonus Points For:

  • Technical knowledge beyond standard Atlassian administration, including:
    • Understanding of HTTP requests and how they work in APIs.
    • Experience working with JSON data structures for integrations and configurations.
    • Basic networking knowledge, including how network routing works.
    • Understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP) and how they interact with Jira Service Management notifications.
  • Experience in scripting or automation, using languages such as: Python, Groovy, JavaScript or Bash.
  • Atlassian Technical Certifications, such as:
    • ACP-JA (Jira Administrator)
    • ACP-CA (Confluence Administrator)
    • ACP-SA (System Administrator)
    • ACP-JCA (Jira Cloud Administrator)
  • Multilingual proficiency (German, French, or Spanish preferred) to support a diverse global customer base.
