About the Opportunity

The Management and Organizational Development (MOD) Group within the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University in Boston is seeking to hire a senior faculty member (tenured associate or full professor level) with a proven research and teaching track record focused on leadership. This might include, but is not limited to, scholars engaged in impactful research related to leadership topics, such as executive leadership, leadership with emerging technologies, leadership and innovation, leadership in global virtual/hybrid work contexts, leadership in multicultural organizations, women’s and minorities’ leadership, and other human-centric leadership work.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will develop and execute an independent research program; teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels; and participate in service to the MOD group, D’Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University, and the discipline.

40% Research

  • Research duties include, but are not limited to, publishing in top tier journals in the field.

40% Teaching

  • Teaching duties include, but are not limited to, serving as an instructor for courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

20% Service

  • Service duties include (but are not limited to) serving on committees at the group, school, college and/or university level.

Qualifications:

Candidates are required to hold a doctorate in Management or a related field by the start date. Candidates are required to have a significant research record, strong teaching performance, and leadership potential. Candidates must have backgrounds in or commitment to working with all student populations, work and educational environments.

Pay Range:

Associate Professor: $173,000 - $229,000 | Professor: $249,000 - $292,000

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
