Job Duties: Participate in the complete lifecycle of projects, including inception, understanding requirements, and architecting, developing, deploying, and maintaining applications. Work with a multi-disciplinary team by partnering with program and product managers to expand product offering based on business demands. Drive up user engagement and adoption of the platform while constantly working towards modernizing and improving platform performance and scalability. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with teams within DOE team as well as with the wider Aladdin developer community. Provide production support for applications for issues that cannot be resolved by operations teams. Interact with various teams for deployment and maintenance of applications. Prepare user documentation to maintain both development and operations continuity. Adhere to BlackRock’s UX and design standards and contribute towards upkeep of those standards.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and one (1) year of experience as a Programmer Analyst or a related role. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience as a Programmer Analyst or a related role. Must have one (1) year of experience with the following: Programming in Java; Utilizing object-oriented design pattern and implementing business requirements using object-oriented languages; Developing and working with relational databases including Sybase and MSSQL; Working with multi-tier application architecture and high performance distributed and in-memory caching solutions; Adhering to software development life cycle best practices including behavior-driven development, test-driven development, unit testing discipline, agile development, and CI/CD strategies; Python, MySQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB, Cassandra, and HBase; Spring framework, Unix, Linux, Splunk, Grafana and Prometheus; and DevOps tools including GitOps, Maven and Azure DevOps.

Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
