What You Will Get To Do: 

• Prepare tax workpapers
• Responsible for meeting client deliverable due dates
• Develops and implements solutions to partnership tax allocation issues within the framework of our proprietary software
• Interacts with internal fund accounting staff on an as-needed basis to provide tax accounting guidance
• Assists in the maintenance and testing of our software, workpapers & procedures by analyzing changes in tax and industry requirements and suggests improvements
• Experience with tax adjustments related to investments and partnership capital transactions
• Performs research of relevant tax laws, regulations and rulings to determine the proper tax treatment of issues
• Analyzes company financial statements
• Knowledge of foreign reporting requirements a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team Player, attentive to detail and proven ability to multi-task

What You Will Bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting – CPA and/or MBA are a plus
• A solid understanding of the accounting and tax treatments applicable to a wide variety of publicly and privately traded domestic and foreign financial instruments including equities, debt, forwards, futures, options, swaps and derivatives
• 0-2 years’ tax experience in partnerships, hedge funds and financial services
• Well-organized and self-motivated to deliver an outstanding product
• An above-average proficiency in the use of MS Excel as well as a working knowledge of the entire MS Office product suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of client service
• Team player mentality and detail-oriented
