Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Associate Supply Chain Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genoa, Italy. Automation 2.0 is a software suite developed entirely by Hitachi Rail STS for next-generation railway automation systems and integrated operational control centers. The project support group is the link between development groups and project groups to aid in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of automation software 2.0.

Accountabilities

  Ensure the submission of  all Supply Chain inputs required to define and issue the Integrated Maintenances Project Plan

·         Ensure the project material delivery (including spare parts and repairing of failed material) in accordance with the project plan by coordinating with all the stakeholders

·         Ensure distribution of Logistic Plan & Inventory Report to the project teams.

·         Coordinate with the Engineering & Maintenances Managers to ensure all procurement activities including Service Level Agreements (SLA) are developed, completed and secure, supporting the process with the development of associated purchased technical specifications (PTS).

·         Support the Engineering Manager in assessing Obsolescence impact on future maintenance activities and Life Cycle Costs of TSM assets

·         Oversees the procurement process of materials & services and establishment of delivery sequences to departments according to the maintenance plan order priorities and anticipated availability of material.

·         Ensures the placed orders are delivered on time.

·         Oversee logistics management ,import & export activities applications & custom clearances

·         Plan, organize, and control all supply chain activities connected with the flow of materials & services into and out of Hitachi ERP/EAM system (SAP & Maximo) in coordination with warehouse supervisor and maintenances team leaders

·         Ensure the Client -Capital spare parts Replacement Plan is created and make recommendations on initiatives

·         Monitoring of parts during the repair cycle from the contractor, including evaluation of quotes from supplier, timings, and expectation of stock return

·         Work closely with the Warranty and Repair team to ensure spares are expedited quickly through the repair process

·         Develop and manage the process for managing the repair loop for Overhaul Materials with the project teams

Responsibility for ensuring all systems are up to date with stock locations and availability of spares

Education/Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent degree.

Languages

Proficiency in English.
