Position Summary:

The Staff Accounting Associate will be a key member of GIP’s Finance Operations team supporting the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of accounting and accounts payable activities across the firm and its investment vehicles. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders, portfolio company contacts, and external vendors to ensure efficient invoice processing, payment execution, and ongoing process improvement within a fast-paced, global investment environment. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing DFF allocation rules, in partnership with GIP Fund Finance including regular review and remediation of outstanding allocation rules
  • Reviewing and approving of cash applications to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Acting as an effective liaison with Fund Finance and Fund Administrators to ensure timely invoice payment
  • Preparation and submission of DFF reconciliation to the GL via ARCS, on a timely basis
  • Timely response to ad‑hoc DFF requests from internal stakeholders
  • Being the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors
  • Ensuring invoices produced are directed to the right team (fund admin, etc.)
  • Applying cash
  • Cash receipts
  • AR aging management
  • Active deal cost reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounts payable or finance operations experience, preferably within financial services, asset management, private equity, or a complex corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, internal controls, and accounting fundamentals
  • Experience with ERP and AP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with global payment processes and multi-entity environments
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$100,000.00 - USD$130,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
