Join the power movement as a Contract Associate Service Desk Engineer
You will be the smart hands for desktop engineering and device provisioning at CFS.
This is a part-time contract position working onsite 2 days per week.
What you'll do:
- Laptop Imaging and Preparation: Image laptops with standard operating system and software configurations
- Returned Device Processing (Onboarding & Off boarding): Collect, clean, inspect, and prepare returned laptops and other IT equipment from both onboarding and off boarding users for reuse or disposal
- New Hire Kit Assembly: Gather and prepare standard IT equipment (laptop, peripherals, etc.) for new employee onboarding
- Inventory Documentation: Accurately record and update inventory details (serial numbers, asset tags, locations, user assignments, return dates, etc.)
- Inventory Tracking: Assist in maintaining an organized and up-to-date inventory of laptops and other IT assets
- Other IT duties as assigned
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience with laptop imaging and preparation
- A drive towards attention to detail and organization
- Familiarity with the organized chaos that comes within a startup environment
- Friendly, outgoing and approachable with a can-do attitude
Must-have requirements:
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Perform activities such as typing, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time
- Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
- Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
