Job Description Summary:

Cambridge Associates is seeking a Client Director Associate to support the Private Client Practice, with a focus on both business development execution and client relationship support. This role will work closely with Client Directors, business development colleagues, investment professionals, and cross-functional partners to help drive new business activity through coordinated support on RFPs, proposals, pitch preparation, and prospect meeting readiness.
The role will also support selected relationship management activities across a portfolio of private clients, helping ensure strong follow-through, thoughtful coordination, and a high-quality client experience. This position is well suited for an early-career professional with strong project management skills, attention to detail, a polished communication style, and interest in private clients and investment services.

Job Description:

Business Development Support

  • Support business development efforts for the Private Client Practice, with a focus on coordination, execution, and follow-through across new business opportunities.
  • Facilitate the RFP process, including managing timelines, coordinating inputs, tracking deliverables, and helping ensure high-quality submissions.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, pitch materials, prospect meeting documents, and related business development content.
  • Coordinate with Client Directors, investment professionals, and other internal stakeholders to gather and organize materials needed for prospect meetings and presentations.
  • Help maintain a high level of quality control across business development materials, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with firm messaging.
  • Track prospect activity, pipeline updates, and next steps in relevant internal systems.
  • Support follow-up activities after prospect meetings, including coordination of materials, action items, and internal debriefs.
  • Contribute to efficient and well-organized business development processes across the practice.

Proposal, Pitch & RFP Coordination

  • Manage deadlines and workflow for proposal and RFP responses across multiple concurrent opportunities.
  • Draft and assemble core components of proposals and presentation materials in partnership with senior team members and subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate review and approval processes for external-facing materials.
  • Maintain organized files, templates, and supporting content for reuse across proposals and pitches.
  • Help tailor materials to prospect needs, meeting objectives, and audience context.

Relationship Management Support

  • Support selected day-to-day activities for private client relationships as needed.
  • Help coordinate meeting logistics, follow-up items, and internal communication related to client activity.
  • Participate in client meetings and help document takeaways and next steps.
  • Assist in preparing materials for client meetings and ongoing relationship needs.
  • Help ensure timely follow-through on client requests in coordination with internal teams.

Internal Collaboration & Execution

  • Work across Client Directors, business development, investment teams, and other colleagues to support coordinated execution.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and other internal systems related to prospects, proposals, and client activity.
  • Help manage competing priorities and deadlines across multiple workstreams.
  • Support special projects and other ad hoc initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in business development support, client service, proposals, RFP coordination, consulting, financial services, wealth management, or a related field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting proposals, pitch materials, RFPs, or other business development processes preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate across a range of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong professionalism, judgment, and client-service orientation.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Interest in investments, private clients, and business development within a professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and presentation development tools preferred.

Base salary range for this role:

Pay Range Minimum:

66800

Pay Range Maximum:

86800

In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
