What You'll Do:

This role will work closely with Legal department management, attorneys and other legal professionals to assist with the administrative functions necessary to ensure the processes associated with legal risk and complying with regulatory requirements are managed appropriately.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

  • Draft and assist in the preparation of legal memoranda, rule filings and exhibits and other legal documents, policies, and procedures  

  • Attend company internal governance group meetings and draft notes for same, often regarding complex and technical subject matter

  • Prepare, maintain and share with appropriate stakeholders documents that track progress on several different regulatory filings or projects

  • Effectively communicate the status of regulatory filings and other related updates with internal stakeholders

  • Manage and submit confidentiality requests, including FOIA requests, to regulators

  • Understand, manage, and follow department policies, procedures, and controls, as well as track the updating of same

  • Interface with outside counsel, as needed, with respect to matters described above

  • Perform internet and legal research as requested

  • Update and maintain electronic corporate files, databases, email, web-based materials and directories

  • Track and ensure compliance with internal departmental requirements

  • Assist in the maintenance of Legal department records in accordance with company records retention schedule and applicable regulatory requirements

  • Assist with other projects as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

Compensation

  • The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
  • In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
  • We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a substantial benefits package as noted on www.theocc.com/careers
  • All employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.

Salary Range

$63,200.00 - $87,900.00

Incentive Range

6% to 10%

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
