F.I.T. Financial Group, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise, is seeking an Associate Financial Advisor to join our growing team. This in-office role is well-suited for a motivated professional with prior advisory experience and active licensing who is committed to building strong client relationships, contributing to business growth, and developing a long-term advisory career. The AFA works closely with the franchise advisor to help clients achieve their financial goals. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully in a collaborative environment while continuing to grow professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify clients for financial planning and advice.

  • Assess clients’ risk tolerance, goals, and time frame.

  • Prepare for client meetings by gathering and analyzing data.

  • Participate in case study and develop recommendations.

  • Research investments and develop product solutions.

  • Create financial planning deliverables.

  • Conduct client meetings to present recommendations or deliver advice.

  • Execute transactions, including trades and rebalancing, on behalf of clients or the advisor.

  • Service existing clients and respond to account, planning, and service requests.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant client records and documentation.

  • Identify opportunities to improve practice efficiency and processes.

  • Develop and implement a marketing plan to meet client acquisition goals.

  • Contact prospects and participate in client appreciation events/seminars.

  • Participate in weekly team meetings.

  • Responsibilities may evolve to meet the needs of the practice.

Education and Other Designations:

  • Active securities licensing including SIE, Series 7, Series 63, 65 or 66, Life, Accident and Health insurance license.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Word, Outlook).

  • Existing client relationships or book of business is a plus.

  • Experience in Salesforce CRM, trading platforms and financial planning software is a plus.
