Datadog is seeking an Associate Event Marketing Manager to join our high-performing team and support third-party events and tradeshows across the North America and Latin America regions. As a key member of Datadog’s Event Marketing team – the driving force behind our high-impact, experiential marketing programs – you will play a critical role in executing best-in-class events that generate leads, pipeline, and scale our brand presence. With hundreds of events run globally each year, this role requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering high-quality event experiences, consistently meeting deadlines, and collaborating cross-functionally. If you’re passionate about creating impactful brand experiences and excited to help shape Datadog’s event footprint, we’d love to hear from you!

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute Datadog’s presence at sponsored events
  • Manage and enact tradeshow promotional plans intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads
  • Captain our events by managing event logistics from conception to completion – staffing, booth space, schedules, pre and post event promotion, and ensuring lead goals are met
  • Manage and track event budgets, expenses, KPIs, and ROI
  • Maintain client and sponsor relationships while managing external communications
  • Prepare and negotiate various service provider and event contracts
  • Work cross functionally with teams to ensure events are on brand, on message, and attracting the right audience

Who You Are:

  • 2+ years of event management experience, executing lead generating events, in a high-tech, fast-paced environment
  • Able to identify trends, troubleshoot, escalate, track, and resolve issues by strategically thinking and balancing a broad range of internal and external factors
  • Capable of managing both time and event budgets effectively
  • Able to handle high-stress situations calmly and professionally while juggling a variety of projects and deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a sense of optimism
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand on feet for extended periods of time during the event.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% (both domestic/international) and work a flexible schedule as needed (evenings/weekends)

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • Generous and competitive benefits package
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan
  • Continuous career development and pathing opportunities

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
