Product intro

This role will work with the totality of our product suite. Our tools range from error monitoring to front-end functional testing to API design and governance. This role will focus on supporting our product specific Enterprise Sales Engineers.

About the role

As an Associate Enterprise Sales Engineer you will:

  • Be the Tech: Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise sales reps, our strategic sellers, showcasing the value of our solutions
  • Lead with Solutions: Tackle technical challenges with creative solutions that are built on the SmartBear advantage
  • Help the team: You’ll work closely with our Enterprise Solutions Engineers to manage POCs, build out account-specific use cases, and assist where needed
  • Engage with Accounts: Build relationships with the users of our tools as they navigate through a POC, by checking in, holding screen-shares, and researching their asks
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Adoption teams to drive product success and customer satisfaction after the deal closes
  • Own Outcomes: Assume responsibility for all components of the technical win by completing RFPs, building POC checklists, tailored demo environments, etc

We are looking for you if you are:

  • New to tech and eager to learn: maybe you just graduated with your CS degree, or are switching careers from another industry, and finished a boot-camp. You’re at the start of your tech journey, have displayed strong technical competency through your education, and are now ready to apply it
  • Public Portfolio: You may not have full time work experience, but you have a portfolio of projects that demonstrate your ability to build
  • A People Person: You love tech, but have a feeling working on Jira tickets all day won’t be for you, and want a more people-focused career
  • Comfortable under pressure: You enjoy a dynamic environment where things can change on a moments notice, and improvisation is a daily activity
  • Team Player: its cliché, but true. You are motivated to help the team win, and are willing to do what you can to make that happen
  • Learning mindset: You are motivated to learn new technology, and enjoy sharing what you’ve found
  • Location: Hybrid role based out of Somerville, with candidates within commutable distance to the office.
  • Proficient In: Some or all of the following: Git, CI/CD tooling (GitHub actions), Bash / CMD shell scripting, API concepts, PaaS tooling (AWS, Azure, etc), front end and backend frameworks (React Native, .NET, JS, NodeJS, ASP .net, Spring)
