Job Description:

As an Associate Engineer, Systems Design Engineer at ADI, you will support the development and integration of hardware and software systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system performance. In this entry-level role, you will assist in co-designing hardware and software frameworks, optimizing system interactions, and contributing to system architecture development. You will also use programming languages like C, C++, and Python to develop and test system solutions. This role offers hands-on experience in system design and optimization with opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the co-design and integration of hardware and software components to create optimized system solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of system architectures that support performance and functionality goals.
  • Develop and test code in C, C++, and Python to support system design and automation tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Support Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design activities, ensuring alignment with system objectives.

Skills You Will Need to be Successful:

  • HW/SW Co-Design: Basic understanding of hardware/software integration and co-design processes.
  • Python (Programming Language): Proficiency in writing and optimizing Python code for system applications.
  • C (Programming Language): Ability to develop and test code in C for performance-critical applications.
  • C++ Programming Language: Familiarity with C++ programming for complex system-level applications.
  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design: Introductory experience in PCB design, focusing on optimizing layouts for system performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in system design, including internships or co-op experience.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages and system design principles.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export  licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.  As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.
